Alison Seagrave was formerly resident at The Berkeley, Knightsbridge, and was Head Chef at Harvey Nichol's award winning Second Floor Restaurant and Brasserie for 3 years.
In fact, Alison was the first female Head Chef at The Second Floor in Manchester.
After studying catering at Hopwood Hall college in Rochdale Alison moved to London and stayed 10 years!
She worked in some of the finest hotels, including The Berkeley, The Royal Garden, The Portman and The Hyatt Carlton Tower.
Alison, who has previously cooked for Charles and Diana, the Queen and the Queen Mother on separate occasions, has certainly dealt with all manner of challenges in the kitchen. Not only has she worked for some of the biggest names in the food industry, including Jean-Christophe Novelli and John Williams at the Ritz, but she has also had all manner of weird and wonderful requests from celebrities over the years.
On another occasion she took a call from a well-known restaurant in New York begging her to part with her recipe for brownies.
She can now be seen everyday at Macaroon working in the kitchen or chatting to the customers.
And what about the brownie recipe? You'll have to come to Macaroon and try it.
